“I was working Housekeeping at Mammoth Hot Springs during the Summer of 1993. Initially it was difficult to find people to connect to, and then I met Chuck who was also working Housekeeping at Mammoth but thru ACMNP. Chuck and I became great friends and he introduced me to his fellow members of ACMNP and they happily accepted me into their group.

“We did many hikes together, camped under the stars, shared laughs and ice cream. My favorite moment though, was one night while I was out with friends I came back to my dorm to a note from Chuck that said, “I hope you will come to chapel tomorrow, I am excited what the Lord has given me to say.” This gave me goosebumps that someone could be so on fire for the Lord, at only around 20 years old, and I couldn’t wait until morning to attend.

“I was blown away on that Sunday at Mammoth Chapel by what Chuck shared with those lucky enough to attend. Just a simple message of being present in any moment you are in, that the Lord is with you through life ups and downs. Simple message, yes, but oh so important to hear and especially in that amazing location and the pause to soak in everything around you. It is a moment in time I will never forget of that incredible and impactful summer at Yellowstone NP.”
