A Christian Ministry in the National Parks (ACMNP) appreciates and enjoys cordial and professional relationships with representatives of the National Park Service (NPS) and the non-governmental concessionaire businesses that provide hospitality services in the parks.
ACMNP supports in word and action the NPS mission and works to cooperate fully with the NPS. The NPS mission: The National Park Service preserves unimpaired the natural and cultural resources and values of the national park system for the enjoyment, education, and inspiration of this and future generations. The Park Service cooperates with partners to extend the benefits of natural and cultural resource conservation and outdoor recreation throughout this country and the world.
The National Park Service does not endorse the activities of ACMNP. Governmental funds are not provided for ACMNP or its team members. Public ministry activities in the parks are made possible through NPS Special Use Permits secured in each national park by ACMNP.
ACMNP interacts with over 60 employers in 44 parks that provide summer and winter employment opportunities to our 250-300 team members.
ACMNP team members work to make a positive impact on park communities through their strong work ethic, impactful relationships, and park stewardship efforts. Ministry teams offer interdenominational worship services for members of the park community and interested park visitors and guests.
ACMNP is a proud partner of the Seasonal Human Resource Association (SHRA) and the National Park Hospitality Association (NPHA).
The Lord said, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
