We believe something powerful happens when we leave the normal rhythms of life and step into the beauty of God’s creation. A Christian Ministry in the National Park’s IMPACT Trips are 3-7-day group trips to national or state parks/forests. Trip participants will spend time serving, growing, and developing as Christian leaders through exploration, worship, service, and discussion.

What can I expect from an Impact Trip?
On an Impact Trip, you can expect a few important things to happen. Firstly, groups will get to experience the beauty of state and/or national parks as they explore. This exploration can include activities like hiking, climbing, horseback riding, and more! Each group’s exploration looks different depending on the group’s interests/abilities but is centered around experiencing the beauty and refuge of God’s creation.
Secondly, service projects are set up by ACMNP with the parks and/or local communities where groups can work together to give back and serve. Service projects can vary depending on the needs of the area, but can include physical labor like trash pick-up, raking, shoveling, and more. The goal through these service projects is to give back to the parks and help maintain them so others can experience God’s beautiful creation.
Thirdly, Impact Trips seek to create opportunities for both organized and organic worship experiences. This can be done through organized musical worship as a group, or through organic worship like serving a park, exploring, and appreciating the beauty of God’s creation, and prayer.
Finally, leadership development is woven into the experience for participants to learn, dialogue, and process their personal growth. With the trip, participants will take a Christian leadership assessment and will be given guidance on how to interpret their results to then reflect on the areas they can grow as a Christian leader.
