IMPACT Trip – Alumni Trip to Death Valley

Alumni Impact Trip: New Year’s Eve in Death Valley!

Imagine bringing in the New Year in a dark sky park under all the stars with other alumni from ACMNP as you look back on your shared experiences and look ahead to all God has for you. We are inviting alumni from both ParkLife and Impact Trip experiences to share this incredible opportunity. If you served on a ParkLife team or attended any Impact Trip you are invited to join us in Death Valley National Park December 31 – January 3rd for this amazing camping trip.

Theme: Resiliency

Often our first response to difficult or painful experiences is to ask God, “Why are you allowing this to happen?” What would it look like if we took a different perspective in hard situations and asked God, “What are you trying to form in me through this experience?”

Please note that this will be a tent camping experience at an established campground with public bathrooms. Death Valley in the wintertime is quite pleasant during the day and chilly at night. We ask that you consider these factors as you determine whether or not to join.

Trent Hordichok and Amanda Demmer, ParkLife Alumni of numerous seasons, are leading this IMPACT trip. You can look forward to hiking, star gazing, a service project, and worshiping with the current ParkLife team serving in Death Valley for the winter.

Where? Death Valley National Park

Accommodations: Tent Camping. We have reserved a group camp site at the Furnace Creek campground. You will need to bring your own tent, sleeping bag, and hiking gear. There may be the option to share a tent with other participants (sharing tent space with others will be facilitated amongst participants prior to trip start and will not be arranged by ACMNP).

Transportation: There are three options for transportation. You can drive yourself and meet  at the campground facility (Furnace Creek Campground in Death Valley), you can ask to carpool with another participant who may be driving, or you can fly into Las Vegas, NV airport and carpool together with other participants.

Before booking your airfare, please be sure to register first, and wait for further instructions. We have specific times you will need to arrive and depart by. If you are interested in driving yourself and meeting us there, please let us know so we can plan accordingly. If you are willing to offer your vehicle as a carpool option, please let us know that as well!
