My summer with ACMNP changed my life. I was already comfortable sharing and speaking in front of groups of people, however God continued to use this summer to grow and stretch me.
I was constantly reminded of how much brokenness there is in this world. In the parks everyone is running from something. It’s not a matter of if you’ll run into someone who is angry at God or angry at the church, it’s when.
You need to be able to sit, listen, empathize and create relationships before most people will trust you to speak wisdom into their lives.
I came into my summer from a spiritual desert. I had been running as hard and fast as I could from God. The team brought me in and showed me what community is all about. Our team in times of crisis chose to come together rather than crumble apart.

It is impossible to look at the Canyon and not see God. The times when I felt most connected to God and His creation were when I was hiking. Seriously, hike as much as you can; allow the Canyon to break you and teach you how utterly small and insignificant you are. God will use that to build you up.
