My journey with ACMNP has taken me back to the same places—and to many new ones as well.
My first season was in Jackson, Wyoming, at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Since then, I’ve returned for two more seasons there, and I’ve also continued to serve with the ministry through another winter and three summers, living and working in parks that were completely new to me.
My last season with ACMNP was in Denali National Park in Alaska, where I worked with Holland America/Princess. I returned to work for them in Denali again this summer, and I think I might be hooked on Alaskan summers!
I first found ACMNP a year after graduating college. At the time, I thought I might be headed toward ministry or service in a local church, or perhaps working somewhere in my degree field of counseling.
My first season with the ministry, during the winter of 2021–22, was not what I expected. But something about the experience made me say yes to doing another season—and then another a year later.
By the summer of 2023, I had completed three seasons with ACMNP and four seasonal jobs, and I thought it would probably be my last for both.
But the Lord clearly had other plans.
Instead, He led me into two more seasons with the ministry and has continued to guide me into seasonal jobs. I’ve been living this lifestyle for four years now, and honestly, I have trouble picturing myself working outside of seasonal work—much less outside of hospitality and tourism.
Before ACMNP, I didn’t even know this kind of work existed.
Now, I see what a gift it is. It’s such an honor to love the people I live and work with, to learn the stories of so many people, and to share the Light of Christ with coworkers and guests in such beautiful places.
What started as one season has turned into years of adventure, community, and faith. And it all began with saying yes.

The Lord said, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
