The best thing about this summer for me was getting to serve at Mt. LeConte with the crew. The crew up there welcomed me and accepted me for who I am.
I’ve made good friendships and have many fond memories of the people, the place and the lifestyle of peace that flows through the air, the mountain springs and the trails within that special place.
I learned to say “yes” to hike a mountain every weekend and lead services for strangers by myself. In reflecting upon my decision to say “yes” to this opportunity to serve, I’m finding that God was at work in my heart even before this summer started, preparing me for this very opportunity.
It was His power alone within me that allowed any good to come from me.

The Lord said, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
