Hope in Prayer

ACMNP caused me to discover that it can be fulfilling to take a position that you feel you are not prepared for. Coming to Shenandoah, I felt as if I were trying to fit into shoes that were too big for me; I felt unprepared, I felt that I lacked motivation at times, and there were days where I needed more encouragement and support.

I learned to find hope in prayer and perseverance through showing love to others.

Hope in Prayer

I found that giving others a chance and listening to what is on their hearts shows people how we can care in simple ways. While being at Big Meadows, so many coworkers opened up to me sharing all the obstacles and hardships they have faced in their lives. In those moments we do not need all the right words to say, but rather just to be present. A listening ear can show more love than anyone could imagine.
