Go on the Adventure

One Sunday morning at the Caneel service a woman came up to me after the service and thanked me for my message. She told me that she had a very difficult and high stress job back home and never wanted to leave her vacation to go back to it. She said the message that day spoke to her.

That morning I spoke about the calling of the first disciples in Luke 5:1-11. We are all called to be disciples of Christ.

Just as the disciples were instructed to do, we also must listen, seek our crew, and because Jesus says so – go on the adventure.

Go on the Adventure

When I talked about going on the adventure I said that God might be leading us in a new direction or He might already have us in the correct place. Along the journey, God shaped the disciples into who they were and He can and will do the same thing for us if we let Him.

The disciples didn’t have every detail of the plan and we won’t either.

But when you are following someone you trust – your hope is in them. The woman said she knew that she was in the right place, but it was just a hard place to be. She was encouraged by the messaged, and felt somewhat renewed and refreshed to go back to her job. I told her I knew that God had led me to preach on that Scripture for a reason.
