One incredible experience my team was blessed to have was witnessing the synchronized fireflies early in the summer.
This is a natural phenomenon that occurs only two places in the world: areas of the Great Smoky Mountains and a certain region in Asia.
For a period of a couple weeks each summer, a certain species of fireflies fill areas in the park and light up at the same time as soon as it gets dark.
As I watched these beautiful creatures, God conversed with me about His Divine Mystery, true worship, the beauty of community, and God’s love for all creation.

The Lord said, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
