The best thing about this summer for me was ALASKA. Seriously, being here has reminded me so much of the character of God and the lives He intends for His children. The pristine beauty, the attention to conservation and preservation, the freedom of animals and park visitors.

There’s a huge community rallying around protecting this place that is so sacred to them.

I can’t help but feel that, in some way, that’s what the body of Christ should be like.

Kind and loving to itself, lending of itself to anyone who needs it. Maybe it’s a stretch, but there’s something serene about this place, and it’ll probably take me years to weed through everything it means to me. But being here has been a dream come true, and God has been so near through it all.
