Moments where I saw God at work in the ministry specifically consisted of those mornings where we would get up super early on our off days, prepare for the service, and then have no one or a ton of people show up.
Something I realized pretty quickly is that God is more concerned with who is at the service, rather than how many folks are at the service.
We would pray that God would bring exactly who needed to hear the message that God had to share through us at the services. Every time we surrendered the services and our expectations of it to the Lord, it became refreshing and fruitful.
God was at work when no one would come, because what we needed was rest. God was at work when 40+ people showed up, because what His faithful servants needed was to share what God had impressed upon our hearts. Regardless, it was about Him and not us, and that is how God was at work.

The Lord said, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
