We have a short trail near our lodge that is called the Forest Loop trail. I walked it several times during the summer; sometimes with people and sometimes by myself.
I found that when I walked by myself, it was a wonderful time for me to talk to God.
With working so much it was hard to get quiet time alone to do my devotions and prayers. Walking the loop trail was an easy way for me to be centered and reminded of why I am here. I felt very close to God during those walks through nature and being surrounded by His creation.
I also felt God on a night when my boyfriend and I sat on the beach and watched the whales swim around. We saw seven breaches one evening and it was truly breathtaking. There were a couple of times that I watched sunsets and saw God or looked at the glaciers and mountains and felt God. It’s hard not to encounter God in His own creation.

The Lord said, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
