Go, Learn, Love & See

Spending a summer with ACMNP in Bryce quite literally changed my life. I served with three other amazing young people, all along their faith journey. We were all from different backgrounds, with different perspectives and stories. At first, I thought that would create a divide between us, but instead it served as an incredible strength allowing us to connect with different employees and people in the park. I learned so much about how to share my faith from them and I gained three incredible friends.

A few moments really stand out from that summer. One night the four of us were playing guitar in our room, practicing for a service and left our door open. Another employee walked into the room and asked to sing with us. He shared his faith journey and we were able to pray for him. Our relationship grew over the summer and it was amazing and humbling to think that the Lord used us to lighten his load.

Go, Learn, Love & See

As a team we had an opportunity to visit Lake Powell on our days off with some other employees. After a day in the sun, we sat around a meal we had just cooked and shared our highs and lows, or best and worst moments from the last week.

I just remember looking around this circle of people, none of which I had known a month prior and being filled with an overwhelming amount of love for them.

ACMNP isn’t always easy, and services and conversations don’t always run perfectly, but it’s such an awesome opportunity to share your love for the Lord, for his people, and to grow and be guided in a path towards Him. I’m back at college now, but I have continued to keep in touch with my team and so many people I met over the summer. This experience led me to start a Bible study back at school and to pursue Him in my daily life even more. I would push anyone who is even considering this opportunity to go. Go and learn and love and see God in a place of incredible beauty.
