I took a big risk coming to Alaska this summer. I didn’t really know what I was getting myself in to and I came because I felt like I was being called by God to serve here. After a full season, the rewards I got out of being here showed me that God is faithful and will exceed our expectations with blessings if we truly listen to Him.
Because of this, I think I gained a greater appreciation for truly trusting and listening to what God calls us to do.
I think this is something that I can take home and to school with the things I know I will be called to do in my future. This experience as a whole was just another reminder that if I trust in Him, he will come through, which is a lesson I know I will need constant reminder of as I am pushed through more difficult situations.

The Lord said, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
