Explore the natural side of Florida from a whole new perspective! Join our team of ACA (American Canoe Association) trained trip leaders as they paddle a section of the Suwannee River Wilderness Trail in northern Florida. Enjoy building new friendships, cultivate awe and curiosity of creation and participate in caring for this amazing location through a service project.
Our first stop is Lafayette Blue Springs State Park where we will stay in cabins. Getting our feet wet while there will allow us to practice paddling skills, hear kayak camping tips, swim in the springs and learn about the flora and fauna of the area. Launching from there puts us on the Suwannee River for 3 days/2 nights of kayak camping at its finest! Each River Camp is equipped with flush toilets, showers, fire rings, covered and screened sleeping platforms with fans and outlets and picnic tables. Waking up to the sounds of the river, delicious guide prepared meals, discovery around every bend…maybe even a rope swing or two – you won’t want to miss this!
