Dear friends,
2025 is officially in full swing, and so are all things ACMNP! Our team has been hard at work— planning trainings, hiring team members, working on IMPACT trips, and looking towards ACMNP’s 75th anniversary!
There’s no doubt you’ve felt the busyness in your own life— maybe your school semester is in full swing, work is gearing up, or life circumstances continue to complicate things.
In these moments, it can be tempting to put our heads down and “get through” the craziness. Surely, if we just work hard enough, everything will get done and we’ll finally be able to take a breath. But what moments are we missing when we subscribe to this mentality?
One of our winter team members told us about an impactful, yet simple, interaction with her co-workers. She writes:
“On Monday we got to surprise our international friends with ice cream! Typically we play card games and eat food, sing songs and call it a night. Doing that has been so lovely but this week we got to add a surprise! Getting to go on a little adventure, and seeing their excitement while filling into our cars was such a joy to watch! (they hardly get to leave the property other than to go into work) Everyone got these HUGE bowls of ice cream from this little truck that is only open a few nights and for a few hours each week. Its crazy that such a simple idea like ice cream created such a fun and wonderful time. A beautiful event! Thank you Jesus!”
Her story is a testament to the impact that simple moments can have on us all. It is often in the small, seemingly inconsequential moments, that Jesus’s love shines through us.
In Jesus’s own life, we see the mark of simplicity on his lifestyle, teachings, and interactions with others. He had few possessions, a small inner circle, and prioritized time alone with his Father. He humbly served and loved others— washing feet, healing the sick, and eating with those on the outskirts of society.
In a world where chaos and busyness seem to be the norm, how can you follow Jesus’s example and intentionally seek out simplicity?

The Lord said, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
